Robert Adams is an American photographer. Born in 1937. Specializes in capturing the American landscape. They reflect the way that progress threatens to destroy nature and there are some striking images of how certain places looked before it was overrun with shopping malls, apartment complexes, and donut-nail salon-chiropractor strip malls. The photos are in black and white which was common in the Sixties. He continued to use black and white into the Eighties. I think it gives them a timeless feel as if capturing a moment in time so that future generations can compare the photos to modern day and see how much has changed.
